Attention 10-12 grade athletes:
Champion’s Club is a free strength program offered at RHS. Our athletic department has hired outstanding strength training coaches and built a program unlike any other in our conference. We will be working closely with Bre Kunkle this season for our in-season strength training program. Varsity and JV athletes will be expected to go to Champion’s club after school every M, W, F. Volleyball practice will begin after Champion’s club at 3:30/3:40. Bre and I are coordinating to create the right balance of in-season training to maintain the strength that you have gained over the summer while also ensuring legs are ready for the load required throughout our practices and competitions. Volleyball players will work through their circuit together in the weight room, and we will adapt as needed for game days and pre-tournament days. All returning varsity athletes and all juniors and seniors should sign up
here ASAP. Spots are limited, and I want to ensure that our program is given the space we deserve in the weight room.
For our 10th grade team, Champion’s club is optional. Your practices will start after 3:30, but you can choose to do homework after school instead of attending Champion’s club if you wish.
For our 9th grade teams, you will start practice immediately after school (2:30- 4:30). We want you to spend your first semester of high school learning how to balance sports and academics. We do not want you to attend Champion’s club. We encourage you to join 2nd semester.
There will be some 9th and 10th grade athletes who earn positions on the JV or Varsity team. Those athletes can sign up for Champion’s club on August 14th once teams have been decided.
If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact me directly or ask a question in the comments on this post. I am leaving comments on for this post to facilitate the sharing of information.
